Rainier Developments has secured outline planning permission at appeal for 23 new homes at land off Haven Lane, Moorside, Oldham.
We realised the opportunity to secure residential development on this site which had previously been refused planning permission by Oldham Borough Council. The site was subsequently dismissed on two separate occasions at appeal.
With our professional team we reviewed the constraints of the site together with the concerns expressed in the previous Inspector’s decision regarding the dismissed appeals.
Having addressed all previous concerns cited regarding the earlier proposals including harmful impacts on character and appearance of the area, highway safety and living conditions of neighbouring dwellings, we secured outline planning permission on the site which has now been sold to a local developer. In reaching her conclusions, the Inspector also granted an award of costs against the Council in favour of Rainier Developments.
