Strategic Land Park Lane West Midlands
Land south of Park Lane and Kenilworth Road, Balsall Common will comprise one of the depot compounds during the construction phase of HS2. This will include a new roundabout junction on Kenilworth Road to Park Lane.
Once constructed HS2 will run along the east of Balsall Common. Park Lane is proposed to be realigned to run adjacent to HS2. This site will therefore be largely bound to the north east by HS2 and to the south west by the existing west coast main line railway.
Rainier Developments are promoting this site to be removed from the Green Belt in the Solihull Local Plan Review and we consider the site has long term development potential for commercial development once HS2 is delivered.
