The planning committee at West Oxfordshire District Council have overwhelmingly voted in favour for 90 new homes to be delivered on the edge of Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds.
Located to the east of Chipping Norton Cricket Club, the site will be accessed from Banbury Road and will deliver a range of house types, including 40% affordable housing.
Grant Stevenson, Planning Director said:
“We are delighted to secure planning permission for such a fantastic project which will deliver much needed new homes to the local area. In particular, I would like to thank Chipping Norton Town Council and Chipping Norton Cricket Club for their support during the application process. As with all of our projects, we strive to ensure the views of local stakeholders are accommodated and look forward to the scheme being delivered in conjunction with our selected development partner.”
The development marks an important milestone for Rainier’s other landholdings on the edge of Chipping Norton which is being promoted for allocation through the emerging Local Plan.
